When you join the Family Network for MV Asterix, you will receive important updates on deployments and work-related absences, information on social activities, and have the opportunity to connect with others going through the same experience.

Morale Mail Information for MV Asterix

Drop off your care packages until June 15th, 2026, during regular business hours at either the: 

Due to crew switch-outs during this deployment, please ensure you send morale mail in coordination with your loved one’s sailing schedule. Please keep in mind that morale mail can take 8-10 weeks to reach the ship.

There will be several evening morale mail drop-off opportunities at the MFRC: 

  • Wednesday, March 11th, 4:00 – 6:00 pm (CPAC)
  • Wednesday, April 22nd, 4:00 – 6:00 pm (CPAC)
  • Wednesday, May 13th, 4:00 – 6:00 pm (CPAC)
  • Wednesday, June 10th, 4:00 – 6:00 pm (CPAC)

Important Notes: 

  • Wrapping supplies (i.e. tape, paper, scissors) are available at our Colwood MFRC location. 
  • International customs forms will be available. 
  • If you are mailing from out of area, we suggest adding 10 days to the advertised cut-off date to allow for parcel travel to Victoria.

Respite Child Care During Absences

Available at no cost when a military parent is deployed or away for work-related reasons for 21 consecutive days or more.
