The Military Spouse Employment Champion badge is designed to help organizations and individual supporters to showcase their commitment to the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families by actively recruiting and hiring military and Veteran spouses or by advocating in support of employment for military and Veteran spouses.
Why participate?
Using the Military Spouse Employment Champion badge is voluntary and completely free. Employers are not asked or expected to offer priority hiring or special treatment to military or Veteran spouse candidates, only to actively consider them as potential employees.

Who can use it?
Anyone who supports the cause! Individuals and/or organizations who are champions of military spousal employment, who agree to comply with the guidelines below are invited to apply.
As part of the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), the Military Spouse Employment Champion badge is bound by overarching policies that limit collaboration with organizations in the alcohol, gaming, tobacco, and cannabis industries. Additionally, we do not collaborate with Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) businesses.
How to get your badge?
Guiding principles
Using the Military Spouse Employment Champion badge/emblem is voluntary. Participating organizations have the flexibility to withdraw at any point. Participation is non-exclusive; other organizations with similar operations and needs may also join.
We expect participants to comply with all Provincial and Federal Freedom of Information, Human Rights, Employment, and Accessibility legislation.
CFMWS/MFS has created the print and digital badges to facilitate an easily recognizable way for organizations and individuals to show their support for the military community and boost their efforts to hire military spouses.
Displaying a badge does not imply endorsement by CFMWS/MFS. No funds from CFMWS/MFS, Department of National Defence, or Non-Public Funds are obligated by use of this badge or its guiding documents. No additional promotion or support of participants is promised. Employers looking for a more comprehensive program are encouraged to consider the Military Spousal Employment Network (MSEN).
Do not alter or amend the image in any way. Note that obtaining this badge does NOT permit you to use any other CFMWS/MFS or MSEN website trademarks, copyrighted materials, or proprietary information.
Badge users who wish to create links to the CFMWS/MFS website or platforms are required to seek permission first.
