Federal Government Hiring

This section highlights employment tools, programs, and job boards offered by the Government of Canada that support the career development of military and Veteran spouses and partners. It includes access to the central GC Jobs portal, specialized initiatives, priority hiring supports for relocating families, and independent job boards from federal departments and Crown corporations. These resources offer pathways to meaningful, flexible employment across Canada’s public service.

  • Military Spousal Employment Network (MSEN)
The Military Spouse Employment Network connects military spouses with a wide range of employers, including private sector companies as well as federal, provincial, and municipal public service organizations. Through the MSEN, spouses can upload their resume to increase visibility with hiring managers, access job postings from across Canada, and participate in virtual career fairs. MSEN also provides resources to help overcome the unique employment challenges of military life, ensuring continuity and flexibility for families. Employers in the network actively share opportunities and best practices to create inclusive workplaces that support military families.
