    Personal information is being collected as part of a pilot program to assess the effectiveness of a new physical performance platform for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The pilot program is managed by the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) of the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) under the authority of the National Defence Act.

    Your personal information will be used to create and manage your client profile, assess your individual fitness needs and limitations, administer fitness training and programs, track your health and progress, schedule appointments and provide feedback from PSP professionals. You may also sync your personal fitness device to the application to track your sleep, activity, and other fitness data. Personal information will be aggregated and used for data analysis, reporting, monitoring and program evaluation purposes.   

    The physical performance platform, CoachMePlus, is a cloud-based application provided by Virtuvia LLC. Use of the platform during the pilot program is voluntary, however you may not have access to certain services and features if you choose not to participate. The personal information in your user account will be deleted from the unsuccessful platform once the pilot program is completed.

    Personal information is protected, and is only used and disclosed by CFMWS in accordance with the Privacy Act, as described in personal information bank (PIB) Evaluation – PSU 942 and CAF Fitness Data- CFMWS PPU 850 (under development). Under the Act, individuals have the right of access to, and correction of, their personal information, and the right to file a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding the institution’s handling of personal information.
