"I am honoured and delighted to have been appointed as your CAF Swimming Patron. I am immensely proud to promote a sport that demonstrates endurance, commitment, physical and mental fitness, and perseverance. These qualities are essential not only in the pool but also as a member of the CAF. Competition at any level, allows athletes to set goals, complete the training required to meet those goals, and gives an opportunity to test and compare your abilities against your fellow athletes. Shortcoming can drive individuals to strive harder, while surpassing or realizing goals give individuals the positive feedback required to substantiate their effort. No more is this evident than in the pool.

Swimming is as much a personal battle as it is competition with other swimmers. Early morning practices, setting a new PB, and the mental resilience to do one more lap, are all aspects of the sport that contribute to improving overall mental fortitude and can improve your life I am a big proponent of physical activity and sport and try to incorporate them into my life as much as possible.

Being physically fit contributes to being mentally fit and vice versa; both being essential to life as a member of the CAF. I encourage all those involved with swimming, to reach out and contact me in regards to improving the Program or with ways to increase participation. I am proud to be your CAF Swimming Patron and now get back in the pool!"
