The Combat Swim Test offers to CAF members and their Chain of Command (CoC) an opportunity to assess their comfort around water and are capable of swimming a short distance to safety in operational clothing and carrying a rifle during amphibious operations, which may occur during specialized CANSOFCOM training and job performance. The Combat Swim Test is not an annual evaluation.
