Introducing Mission Code – where gaming meets tech in the ultimate coding adventure! Get ready to dive into a world where you can create, collaborate, and conquer. We're here to turn you into the next-gen digital wizards, blending creativity with coding skills to help you chase your wildest dreams.

Partnering with Digital Moment, we're calling all teens from the military community to join our epic coding classes. This is your chance to level up, make new friends, and build your social network.  

Unlock the secrets of retro game design with MakeCode Arcade! Whether you're just starting out or already a coding pro, Mission Code has something for everyone. You'll learn to code, team up with others, and unleash your inner digital engineer, opening doors to endless possibilities.

ELIGIBILITY 


Youth from military families in grades 9 to 12 (between 13 and 18): 

  • Families of Regular Force Members
  • Families of Reserve Force Members
  • Families of Veterans
  • Families of the Deceased
  • Cadets
  • Junior Canadian Rangers

IMPORTANT NOTES 

  • Make sure you have a computer and a Zoom account (you can sign up for free here). 

  • No coding experience? No problem!   

  • You'll be using MakeCode Arcade, a web-based platform by Microsoft, to create awesome retro-style arcade games. All you need is a web browser – no downloads required!   

  • Choose your coding style: block-based coding or JavaScript. Our experienced instructors will guide you step-by-step through each session, making it super easy to follow along. 
  • Sessions will primarily be in English, with seamless language support from the translation tool, Wordly. Our bilingual instructors ensure everyone can dive in, whether you speak English or French! 
  • Miss a session? No worries! All sessions will be recorded so you can catch up anytime.
