19 Wing Comox Yacht Club
Located oceanside on Goose Spit, the Club has grown into a full-service operation including a fleet of kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, 420 Sail Dinghies, keelboats from 27'-35', a licensed clubhouse with full kitchen, and a boatshed for all the portable watercraft. Run by a dedicated cadre of volunteers, the Club delivers outstanding value and service to the 19-Wing Comox community!
We are particularly proud of our keelboat fleet and the training that qualifies members to sail them. All of the Club's keelboats are well-maintained and well-equipped with full galleys, interior stand-up heads, and sleeping quarters for qualified members looking for overnight trips. The Club is registered with Sail Canada. Each year (COVID notwithstanding), we offer up-to 24 spots on a Sail Canada Basic Sailing Course; an accredited program that leads to an internationally-recognized qualification.
For those who enjoy the camaraderie of current and former sailors, the Club stages weekly TGIF socials and other events at the Clubhouse. A great way to stay connected with previous mates with whom you may have served!

19 Wing Yacht Club Weather Station!
Members can pre-check Goose Spit weather from the convenience of their home. Making go-no-go decisions is often the toughest part about planning a day on the water and this tool is designed to make it easier!
When you have landed on the station's website, be sure to click the tiny "Tempest" graphic in the upper right corner of the screen. You'll be able to see live readings of winds, etc!
Please click-on the Tempest picture (left) to link to the station.
Club Burgees
There is a limited stock available of super-high-quality 19WCYC Burgees. Made in North America with UV resistant heavy-duty nylon, embroidered appliqués and solid brass grommets, they are designed to withstand the rigors of the harshest marine environment.
There are two sizes available (Costs shown include PST & GST)
- Small - 12" X 18" - $45
- Large - 16" X 24" - $55
Every member sailboat owner should be flying our burgee with pride! Having a Club Burgee is a requirement for reciprocal privileges at most other Yacht Clubs. The Burgees are held by the bar, available during TGIF's!
