Specialized Care Program
Temporary child care for families in which both parents are working.
NEW DATES
Effective May 6, 2024, the Specialized Care Program will now be open every Monday of the month.Program Overview
The Specialized Care program offers flexible, quality care from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.
This licensed program is intended for working families with children 0-12 years of age and is open to Military and civilian families. This is not full-time care but will support families who require temporary care to report to work, attend appointments, are on house hunting trips and for those families dealing with a work-related separation such as deployments. It is fully staffed by Early Childhood Educators.
Each family situation is unique, and the duration of temporary care provided is based on individual need. This program is not intended to be full-time permanent care. If your family requires more than temporary care, an exemption form can be completed for review by the PMFRC Executive Director.
Intake is required, contact [email protected] or call (613) 687-2104 ext. 231. Once the approval process is complete, a registration package will be sent to families by email. Children may start with the program as soon as the completed registration package is received – including the child’s immunization record – by email.
