April is recognized as the Month of the Military Child, a time dedicated to honoring the strength, resilience, and sacrifices of the children and families who support our service members. These young individuals navigate unique challenges with courage, adaptability, and pride, and this month gives us the opportunity to celebrate their contributions and show our appreciation.

April 23 - Teal Up Flag Raising - Transition Centre

We are raising the flag for our incredible military-connected kids! 
Time: 8 am 
Place: Transition Centre
We hope to see you there! All are welcome!

April 25 - Community Celebration _ Morfee Centre 

Our main community walk will take place April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring a variety of engaging activities for all ages.

CWO Harper, LCol Curtis and MLA Chris Palmer will be in attendance. 

Event Schedule
  • 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.: Sensory-Friendly Hour
    • A calm, low-stimulation environment designed to ensure all families can participate comfortably.
  • 10:00 - 10:30 a.m.: Speeches and singing
    • Dwight Ross and Military Wives choirs
  • 10:30 - 11:00 a.m.: Walk
    • Join us as we walk together in recognition of military children and their incredible resilience.
  • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.: Main Activities
    • Glitter tattoos
    • Interactive Military Child Story Canvas
    • Dance 
    • Min Snaps photo booth
