Greenwood Military Family Services (MFS)

Thank you for your patience as we get our feet on the ground. We are excited for this adventure and look forward to building with you! 

Our governance is shifting to Military Family Services (MFS), a division of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMS).  

MFS Greenwood, with the Miltary Family Advisory Committee, maintains the principle of “by families for families” to deliver the Military Family Services Program (MFSP).  

While there will be certain changes in staff and service providers, the transition will not impact the organization’s overall objective of serving the military family community.  

The Greenwood Child Care Centre will continue to be operated by a provincially incorporated not-for profit entity with the primary role of governing the child care operations. There will be no changes to current operations or staffing. 

In shifting the MFSP to Greenwood MFS, there will be a transition in the overall governance from the current Board of Directors to an Advisory Committee, with minimum 51% military family membership.

The advisory committee will be made up of a group of volunteers representing military families in the Greenwood community. The committee informs, reviews and promotes programs and services in the community.
