Family Violence Advisory Team

The FVAT is established by the Family Violence Defence Administrative Order and Directive (DAOD) 5044-4. It serves in an advisory capacity, making recommendations to CAF Leadership on matters related to family violence. Each member has a specific role, duty, and reporting requirements per their position. The FVAT has a front-end role of education, prevention and awareness of family violence as well as planning and promoting family violence programs, campaigns and services while recognizing the diversity of military families and their needs.
