This year, the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) will be returning to offer The Kids’ Deployment Support Group (KDSG) in local schools.
Four sessions will be held throughout the school year (October, December, February, April) for children from JK to Grade 6. Each session is designed to help children understand their feelings, the changes, and possible stressors that come with the military family lifestyle (work-related absences, relocations, transitions, etc.). Participating students will learn positive living skills and age-appropriate stress management strategies in a safe and comfortable environment.
The KDSG has been restructured for the 2024-2025 school year. This group is now open to all military children from JK to Grade 6 and is not limited to only families experiencing a work-related absence anymore.

To register, please download the 3 PDF forms below and submit the completed forms to [email protected]. If you wish to have a paper copy of the forms, reach out to us either by email or phone and we will bring them to your child(ren)'s school. Registration closes November 29, 2024.
