Junior Guard Program

Many children in this age group tend to leave swimming until they are old enough to complete the Bronze awards or National Lifeguard course. Our goal is to provide a program to keep them in the pool and prepare them to succeed in future courses. They will work on swimming skills, first aid knowledge and learn some lifesaving sport activities. All designed to familiarize participants with lifesaving equipment and improve fitness skills. Some examples of events are Rope Throw, Manikin Carry, Obstacle Swim, etc.

Prerequisites:

Must be 10 – 15 years old. It is recommended that participants have completed Swim Kids 8 or higher.

Program Day/Time: TBD

Program Fees:

Regular - $30.00 +HST
Ordinary - $40.00 +HST
Associate - $50.00 +HST

Please Note: There must be at least 5 participants to run the program and there are 10 spots available. If there is a high demand then it is possible that the program will be divided in to age groups (10-12 yrs., 13-15 yrs.) and times (6:00-7:00pm, 8:00-9:00pm).
