Parcel Service

The Thunder Bay MFRC is the easiest and most popular way to send morale mail or care package parcels to a deployed military member. We have customs (International Mailing) forms for your use. If you need supplies to mail out your parcel, we can also help. Drop off your morale mail package at the Thunder Bay MFRC location, 125 N. Algoma Street. Call 807-345-5116 for more information.

Here are some guidelines to assist you:

Plan in advance for special occasions. Once an item is mailed, it could take two to ten weeks for the mail to be delivered to the addressee in theatre. If an individual in theatre is consistently experiencing more than three weeks for mail to arrive, it is recommended that the INDIVIDUAL discuss the matter with their serving Canadian Forces postal support personnel in theatre.

Parcels must be clearly addressed with rank, initials, name, unit, and section. Clearly write the sender's address and phone number on the top left corner. A list of contents must be listed on the bottom left-hand corner of the parcel.

Holiday Season Packages: Canada Post Free Parcel Service

Every year for the holiday season, Canada Post offers a free Christmas postal service. It starts around mid-October and ends early January. You can send mail to your deployed family member free of charge from any Canada Post location.
