Ongoing Support Resources

  • PMFRC Serenity Nook
We have an all-ages virtual space for you and your family to explore your senses, with the goal of supporting your self-regulation, calming, and coping skills.

This site currently has three components – “The Nook”, which is our virtual sensory room, “The Library”, a resource centre with links to community resources available to you, and “The Space”, which is our virtual activity resource guide (full of ideas to try at home), prepared just for you by the PMFRC and AdaptABLE Occupational Therapy.

Register using the form below and contact [email protected] with any questions.
  • PMFRC Portable Sensory Space
The PMFRC has a portable sensory room at many of our family events. This space is available for anyone who needs a moment to relax and regroup.

The PMFRC Portable Sensory Space is now available for some community and military unit events, use the form below to inquire about having this resource set up at your next event.
  • Special Needs Equipment Lending Library
Sensory room equipment allows you to create a safe sensory-focused environment for children and adult with special needs but can be very expensive.

If you would like to try before you buy, contact us to get access to our special needs equipment library of sensory items including bilingual learning games and books, weighted items, noise cancelling headphones and a number of things to help you create your own cozy corner.

There are items for people of all ages, available to Military and Veteran families to borrow at no cost.
