Emotional Toolkit Workshop - Ages 8-12
This workshop will help children and youth to establish tools to help with self-regulation.

Helping kids navigate big feelings can be challenging—but they don’t have to do it alone! The PMFRC Mental Health Team invites children ages 5-7 and 8-12 from Military families to a fun, interactive workshop designed to help them build self-regulation skills with their own emotional toolkit to take home.
What to Expect

Two Age Group options – Sessions tailored for ages 5-7 (with a parent/guardian) and ages 8-12.

Group-based learning in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Sessions led by a qualified mental health professional.

Hands-On Learning – Engaging activities using colors, worksheets, and interactive tools for kids to explore emotions in a positive way.

Take-Home Toolkit – A bag of personalized resources to help manage emotions at home.

This free, in-person workshop is open to Military families and will be held at the South Side Community Centre (1578 Wolfe Ave). All materials are provided by PMFRC. If a group setting is challenging for your child, ask us about individual session options.
Session Dates
- April 13 / 4:30 - 5:30 PM for ages 5-7 with a parent/guardian
- April 20 / 4:30 - 6:00 PM for ages 8-12
How to register:
1. 1.Register using the form below by April 11 for the session on April 13 and April 18 for the session on April 20.
2. Our Military Family Navigator will follow up with consent forms to complete your registration. Please note that 12-year-olds will need to sign the consent form in addition to a parent or guardian.
