Commit to never drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol. 

The holiday season is a time for celebration, gathering and joy, but also a time when impaired driving incidents increase. Whether it’s alcohol, cannabis, other drugs, fatigue or other distractions, being impaired behind the wheel can have devastating consequences. Your local Health Promotion team wants to help the Borden community stay safe and ensure safety for all by encouraging all to Take the Pledge!

By taking the pledge, you commit to:

• Never drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs judgment.
• Plan ahead by arranging a designated driver, using public transportation, or calling a ride service.
• Stay alert and focused—avoid distractions like texting or fatigue.
• Encourage others to make safe choices and speak up if someone is about to drive impaired.

 Those who pledge to not drive under the influence will be eligible to win great prizes! Entry to win will close on 5 January 2025. 

The campaign runs from 1 December 2025 - 4 January 2026.  

Winners announced on 8 January 2026.
