A warm welcome to Winnipeg!

The MFRC is here to ensure you and your family are supported through your move to Winnipeg.

If you are clearing in or visiting for the first time, book an appointment with our Client Care Coordinator Jessica Jones to ensure you receive personalized support or service referrals. Bring the whole family if possible so that everyone can be equally informed.

If you have yet to arrive, we encourage you also to contact Jessica. She has essential pre-arrival information that can help make your relocation go as smoothly as possible.

  • Child Care

Effective April 2, 2023, parents of children who are enrolled in infant, nursery and preschool programs will pay $10 a day per child for regular hours of care (4 to 10 hours) at licensed childcare facilities that receive operating grants.

For school-age children attending for three periods per day (before school, lunch and after school), parent fees are also being reduced to $10 a day.

This tool allows families to search for early learning and childcare facilities that meet their needs and then families can directly contact the childcare provider of their choice.
