Canada Day 2026 at CFB Wainwright

Introducing Our Headliner:
Jess Moskaluke

Internationally acclaimed artist Jess Moskaluke continues to break new ground in country music with her powerhouse vocals, pop-driven hooks, and genre-bending sound. Her latest single, “Last Rodeo” follows the momentum of “I Ain’t Country” and “Life For Me,” showcasing the bold new direction she’s been embracing over the past year.

A trailblazer in Canadian country, Moskaluke was the first female artist since Shania Twain to achieve Canadian Platinum status with “Cheap Wine and Cigarettes,” which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with reimagined mixes. She’s earned Canadian Gold certifications for hits like “Take Me Home,” “Kiss Me Quiet,” “Knock Off,” and her first #1, “Country Girls.” She also became the first Canadian female country artist since 2008 to reach the Top 3 with “Drive Me Away.”

A 2017 JUNO Award winner and multiple CCMA Award recipient - including three consecutive wins for Female Artist of the Year - Moskaluke has also been recognized by SOCAN, WCM, and most recently, as a 2024 Women in Music Canada Honours nominee.

Her 2021 album The Demos featured the fan-favourite “Mapdot,” which inspired her first national headlining tour. She has since performed on global stages including C2C in the UK and Australia, and scored her first Australian #1 with “Go Get Er.” She returns to the road in fall 2025 for the Life For Me Tour, building on her reputation for dynamic, sold-out performances.

Beyond music, Moskaluke is deeply committed to giving back. She supports MS Canada in honour of her late father and founded the Jess Moskaluke Youth Award with the Saskatchewan Country Music Association to uplift emerging talent. Embracing her entrepreneurial side, she now mentors rising Canadian artists, bringing her industry experience to a new generation.

Introducing our opening acts:

Meet Brayden King, the 6'9" dynamo whose larger-than-life stage presence is turning heads across North America.

Hailing from Weyburn, SK, and now proudly reppin' Alberta, Brayden rocked his way to stardom after snagging the legendary "Golden Ticket" on Season 21 of American Idol. In 2023, he unleashed three singles that cracked the Top 100 on Canadian Country Radio. Luke Bryan dubbed King “The Perfect mix between Ed Sheeran and Stapleton”.

Brayden King isn't just another face in the country music crowd; he's the powerhouse standing at the intersection of Rock 'n' Roll and Country, proudly embracing the edgier side of the genre. But where he truly thrives is on the road, where he's a relentless force, gracing audiences with over 100 shows each year. His performances are nothing short of a high-voltage, in-your-face party — an unforgettable experience that defines the term "energy." Whether he's rocking notorious festivals like Boots & Hearts and Country Thunder or tearing up dive bars and Honky Tonks, King brings the same electrifying show to every stage.

In just two short years, Brayden King has earned the title of the literal LARGEST Rising Star in Canadian Country.

Sparrow Blue was formed in St. Albert, AB, Canada with members Des Parks(vocals), Jon Dombroski (guitar), Liam Holm (drums), Russell McCann (percussion), Chad Plamondon (guitar) and Caden Doyle (bass). Inspired by the old school roots of Rock & Roll, Sparrow Blue has developed their own classic sound coining the term Real Thick Rock & Roll. With influences such as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin and Mountain, the band’s hard-rock music and high-energy performances are sure to bring fire to any stage.

Sparrow Blue has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Finger Eleven, The Sheepdogs, The Trews, Default and more. The band has played many notable festivals in Canada and the U,S, such as Fogfest, Funtastic Fest Vernon, Together Again Music Fest, Extreme Mudfest and many more. The band spent 2022-2024 touring constantly throughout Canada, from coast to coast, in support of their latest album "No Lies, No Tricks" which was recorded in their own home studio called "The Blue Room''.

2025 proved to be a busy year for the band, as the boys geared up for their first international tour of both Canada and U.S.A. Traveling coast to coast throughout May to October , and then followed that up with a tour across U.S.A and Canada in 2026.

Born in the land of the living skies and wide-open spaces of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, it’s no surprise Jordyn Pollard is becoming a bright light in the country-pop scene across Canada. Imbued on the prairie ethos of hard work, humility and independence, she’s bringing a fresh female country sound we know and love with catchy hooks and sharp vocals to match. Pollard is known to have an extraordinary natural exuberance, a lovable quirky personality and has been compared to artists like Kelsea BalleriniMaren Morris and Taylor Swift.

Pollard’s timeless single, “Love Letter” (2022) was produced by collaborator and friend, Bart Mckay (Brett Kissel, Jess Moskaluke). Written by award-winning songwriters Emily Weisband (Halsey, Camilla Cabello, Lauren Alaina), Laura Veltz (Demi Lovato, Maren Morris, Dan + Shay), Madison Font and Taylor Kerr (make up the duo Maddie & Tae), “Love Letter” is a song about infatuation and love in the most innocent and simplest of ways. The music video that accompanies the single was directed/ produced by Joel Stewart (Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Dallas Smith) and Sean Smith (The Road Hammers, Alan Doyle, The Hunter Brothers). “Love Letter” is the third single off of Pollard’s first full length album.

Pollard is a strong vocalist, stage performer, and songwriter. She is able to charm an audience, big or small, but it’s also important to her that people can relate to her and her lyrics. Pollard’s music offers levity and holds space for strong hooks, homegrown stories with realistic themes, and hope, especially in country-pop. Her debut EP, Good On Me (2019) hit #6 on the iTunes Country chart. The single of the same name also had significant charting success on the Trax radio report (#49) and the Billboard Country radio chart (#66). Her second single from her EP, “Back to Us” (2020) was dubbed the first Stingray Radio Trending Track, generating thousands plays on radio stations throughout the Stingray network. That same year, she also won the Saskatchewan Country Music Association (SCMA) Emerging Artist of the Year Award. On top of that win, over the last three years Pollard has accumulated seven SCMA nominations that included Female Artist of year, Album of the Year and Fans Choice. Pollard has also been nominated twice as SaskMusic Country Artist of the Year. She has been recognized across the country, and was the only Western Canadian selected as a wildcard/finalist in the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist showcase in 2021.

“Performing is my first love,” says Pollard. “I forget the rest of the world when I’m on stage.” Since 2017, she’s continued to grow her name across the midwest and has taken the opportunity to hit stages with Brett Kissell, Brad Johner, Gord Bamford, Hunter Brothers, Victoria Banks, Donny Parenteau, High Valley and Jay Semko. In 2021 and 2022, Pollard was grateful to perform as a headliner at the SCMA Awards virtually. Pollard shared her talents with Music at the Mae Fundraiser alongside some of Nashville’s top songwriters,  Jeff Cohen, Phil Barton and Victoria Banks. Taking her love of nonprofits and community, Pollard successfully organized her own Nashville style songwriters round called “Crossing Borders for Bike For Breakfast,” featuring songwriters from AB/SASK, in Lloydminster, AB. Pollard brought the event to this year’s Canadian Country Music week to raise money for Calgary nonprofit Stand A.S.A (Stand Against Sexual Assault). She performed on the Big Valley Jamboree (BVJ) Stage with Jason McCoy and Clayton Bellamy at the BVJ Songwriters Showcase.

Over The Moon

Canadian Juno nominated roots/swing duo Over The Moon's   Suzanne Levesque and Craig Bignell are awarding multi-instrumentalists/vocalists that met, fell in love, got married and discovered their voices blend so well together that people often tear up upon hearing them sing.

Living on a ranch in the foothills of Alberta's Rocky Mountains, it's inevitable there will be a strong sense of place- and the rhythms of the land when you start to make music.   When the couple released their debut album, the resonances were there for all to hear. reflecting the pulse of life,  lived in a territory that is both dirt-hard rugged and beautiful.

Their music is a wild ride from 40's sounding western swing and Appalachian old-time, to cowboy blues.  Simple and sweet, all of their material has a common thread that speaks of the Canadian west and on their UK release, reviews were glowing….

“They are naturals on stage, clearly delighted to be there and interspersing entertaining, tongue-in-cheek banter with stories of their lives in the tiny (population 297 according to the latest census) village of Longview, Alberta. There's even a bit of yodelling, which the crowd joins in enthusiastically. Sue's double bass drives things along at an easy loping pace while Craig's banjo and guitar (which Suzanne also essays on occasionally) sit on top, as comfortably as you could wish. Their songs are classy too, by turns sad, funny and insightful” - Jeremy Searle
