Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross Camps

Whether you're starting your journey or advancing your aquatic training, PSP Recreation has the perfect camp for you! These intensive, certification-based camps are designed to build confidence, leadership, and lifesaving skills in a fun, supportive environment. 

Camp Details

• Dates: Monday to Friday

• Time: 08:00 – 16:00

• Location: Uplands Military Community Centre, 330 Croil Private, Ottawa, ON

• Ages: 13+

• Early Drop-Off Available: 07:00 – 08:00 (additional fee applies)

• Late Pick-Up Available: 16:00 – 16:30 (additional fee applies)

Bronze Medallion Camp

July 27 – August 7 | Monday to Friday | 08:00–16:00 

Participants will learn water rescue techniques, lifesaving judgment, and first aid—culminating in the Bronze Medallion exam and CPR-B certification.

Bronze Cross Camp

August 10 – August 21 | Monday to Friday | 08:00–16:00

Advance your skills with more complex rescue scenarios and team-based training. This camp includes Bronze Cross certification and provides Standard First Aid and CPR-C training—essential for future lifeguard qualifications. 

Prerequisite: Participants must hold a valid Bronze Medallion certification.

• Fox40 whistle 
• First Aid Manual  

Manuals and whistles are available for purchase during registration for your convenience.  

Optional Purchases

Pocket masks and ALERT manuals are also available for purchase but are not required for the course. We offer early drop-off and late pick-up packages—perfect for busy families!
