Les Petits Amis Childcare programs offer innovative licensed childcare that meet the social, emotional and developmental needs of our military children.
LPA Childcare Centre Prioritization:

Before & After School Care
Ages: JK to 12 years
Date: Monday to Friday (school year)
Time: Drop off from 7:00 am. Pick up until 5:00pm

Full-Day Child Care
Ages: Infant – 5 years
Date: Monday to Friday
Time: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
Registration & Wait List: City of Kingston and County of Frontenac Centralized Childcare Registry and Information Service.
Casual Child Care
Age: 12 months to under 13 years
Days: Monday to Friday
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Cost:
$12 per visit (with CWELCC – children under 6 years old)
$16.25 per visit (without CWELCC – children aged 6 to under 13)
Booking Information
Military families may register for up to two visits per week.
Bookings can be made up to one month in advance.
Short-notice bookings may be accommodated, depending on availability.

If you have not previously accessed our Casual Child Care services, you will be required to complete registration forms and provide a copy of your child’s immunization record before attending.
Payment Information
Once your booking is confirmed by an educator, Prepaid Casual Child Care Cards must be purchased in person at the front desk.
Please present your prepaid card to the educator on the day of care.

For more information and registration on our Summer Days summer camp program facilitated through our registered Les Petits Amis (LPA) Childcare Centre, please contact the LPA. Please note that registration for existing families starts on February 14th (link only available then) and is available to existing LPA families only. Registration for all other families starts March 7st, 2025 .
PA Days
Les Petits Amis offers full day programs for P.A. Days, March break, summer camps and winter break. Registration for these programs is completed through the website. Registration priority is given to current Before & After School families and then registration opens up to the community.

General Information
Q: What are the hours of operation?
The LPA Childcare Centre is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
We are closed on all Public and Statutory Holidays, except for Remembrance Day and Family Day, when we remain open.

No. The LPA Childcare Centre is operated by the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC). Our programs are licensed by the Ministry of Education and inspected annually under the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA). -
Types of Care Offered
Q: What is Casual Care?
A flexible, pre-registered option offered Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for children ages 12 months to 13 years. Q: Who can access Casual Care?
To better support the growing military community, Casual Care registration is available exclusively to Military Families.Q: What is the Full-Day Program?
Licensed, full-time child care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (up to age 6).
Includes:-
Nutritious lunch and two snacks daily

Indoor/outdoor active play (minimum 2 hours outdoors daily, weather permitting)

Creative, age-appropriate programming (arts & crafts, sensory play, etc.)
Q: What is Before and After School Care?
The LPA Childcare Centre offers 67 licensed spaces for school-aged children (up to age 13):-

Health & Safety
Q: Why was I asked to pick up my child due to illness, even if the symptoms seem mild?
As a licensed childcare centre, we are required to follow health and exclusion guidelines from the Ministry of Education and KFL&A Public Health (South East Health Unit).

Q: How do families make payments for child care at the LPA Childcare Centre?
Families receive a monthly invoice by email from the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre. The following payment methods are available:-
