  • Toilet
    To avoid problems:

1- NEVER PUSH ON A STUCK BAG IN THE HATCH (see recurring problems).
2- Put on the bag supplied with each use.
3- Wait 10-15 min between uses.
4- Always keep the cover closed - once ''flushed'', check that ''combustion in progress'' is clearly marked.
5- Only dispose of authorized items in the incinerator toilet.

    IF A SERIOUS PROBLEM OCCURS:

    1- Stop using the toilet
2- Notify our staff for assistance
3- Use the Centre Castor toilets.

    Recurring problems:

    The bag won't fall out:

Solution 1: Do not install your bag in advance, but before each use only.

Solution 2: The bag has been installed too tightly.

Solution 3: Gravity operation, if a bag is too light, it will not fall into the incinerator.

For a child with smaller needs, use the same bag a few times, otherwise add 1 cup of water to the bag before flushing.

The bag is stuck in the hatch:

    Solution:
    1.         Close the cover,
    2.         Press the flush button for 5-7 seconds, you should hear the flap open.
    3.         If the flap closes automatically, combustion is in progress, the toilet is too hot or there is a danger to you.
    4.         Wait 1 hour. Do not touch anything.
    5.         Then repeat the operation: close the cover, press the flush button for 5 to 7 seconds and the flap will remain open. The bag can now be safely unstuck.
    6.         Close the cover again.
    7.         Start combustion again by pressing the flush button.

    OTHER ERROR MESSAGES

Solution 1: The ashtray is incorrectly positioned, to check the ashtray:

    1- Remove the footrest,
2- Carefully remove the cover behind the small bench,
3- Take the handle of the ashtray and turn it to the left.
    4- Close it gently.

    Solution 2: Restart the toilet.

1- Press the flush button for more than 10 seconds. The LCD screen will indicate that the toilet is restarting.

*** UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU PUSH ON A BAG STUCK IN THE HATCH.

  • Changing the water
Under the sink is an 18-litre non-potable water supply. If this is empty during your stay, you'll find spare 18-litre jugs in the bathroom.

If you change the water jug under the sink, please also change the wastewater boiler.

    To do this:
Gently pull the waste pipe downwards,
Screw the watertight cover onto the full boiler,
    Remove the boiler,

    KEEP THE WASTEWATER BOILER INSIDE.
You can store the full wastewater boiler in the toilet near the storage cabinet.
    Place the new replacement boiler.
    Replace the waste pipe.

  • Heater
Convectors are not used as the main heating system, but only as an auxiliary heater.

IT'S BETTER TO BE WARM THAN COLD:

1- The ideal temperature for stoves in winter is between 18 and 20 degrees and level 5.

We check each stove before your arrival to verify the parameters.
The stoves have been tested at -35 degrees and if you maintain these settings, you'll be comfortable.

2- Check that the heater behind the stove is not working. You can move it and use it in another part of the yurt, as long as you put it back in its place when you leave.  Another heater is available in the bathroom cabinet, if necessary.

3- Be sure to refill the stove with pellets every 6 hours.

4- Refer to the detailed chart posted in the yurt for stove instructions.

5- To distribute the heat more evenly, you can run the fans on the mezzanine.

Note that the stove's temperature sensor is located at ground level in the coldest part of the yurt.  There is a difference of about 4 degrees with the actual temperature in the yurt and about 6 degrees with the temperature at the mezzanine level.

We don't recommend changing the settings.  If you change the settings during the day, don't forget to reset them to the indicated settings so you don't get cold at night.

**It takes several hours to reach the comfort temperature again after a change.**

  • Electrical Panel
The electrical panel is located behind the frame in the bedroom or toilet, depending on the yurt.

To access it, remove the two pins on top of the frame that hold it in place.

Velcro fasteners are also installed to hold the frame to the wall.

Please proceed with care to avoid damaging the frame during this operation.
