Youth Fitness

Having fun while being active is the best way to encourage our kids to keep active.

Physical activity is crucial for youth development. Current recommendations suggest that youth should participate in at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily. In addition to aerobic activities such as running, dance or cycling, research increasingly indicates that regular participation in a youth strength-training program can offer observable health, fitness and performance benefits for children and adolescents.

PSP Community Recreation offers programming that helps our youth stay active and healthy.

Youth Sports Performance Training program

Our six week  program is designed for athletes who are ready to improve their overall athletic ability and stand out in any sport. Each session focuses on building a strong foundation of strength, speed, agility, endurance, coordination, and confidence through structured drills, skill development, and functional training exercises.

Athletes will learn proper technique, injury prevention strategies, and how to move more efficiently, helping them perform better both in training and in competition. Sessions are engaging, high-energy, and tailored to support individual progress while also encouraging teamwork and peer motivation.

Whether you’re new to training or already competing, our positive and supportive environment ensures every participant feels challenged, included, and inspired to grow.
