Achieving Balance

The Achieving Balance Program is unique to 22 Wing and is delivered by a team of multidisciplinary certified professionals who are subject matter experts in their field.

Focusing on the four pillars of human performance and designed with the military member in mind, our three month program starts with an individualized interview and health assessment where we will discuss your current lifestyle behaviours, health risk factors and examine some basic movement patterns to assess your physical health and fitness baseline. Together, we move on to create specific, measurable, achievable, and realistic health goals. From there, we will establish an action plan in place to keep you focused and accountable.
 
In order to ensure your success, the Achieving Balance Program  will include private one-on-one individual physical training sessions over a 12 week period. Individualized physical training schedule is laid out in a way that begins very supportive and with close guidance. We will work closely with the Health Promotion team in recommending Health Promotion courses to help educate, motivate and empower your lifestyle behaviour change.
 
As the Achieving Balance program progresses, you will become less reliant on PSP. It is our goal to improve your confidence, knowledge and overall independence empowering you to take control of your health.
