The Gottman Method's Seven Principles of Marriage is a psycho-educational workshop designed to provide teaching and guidance. It is not couples therapy. Educators are available to assist with class exercises, but they will not conduct therapy.
CAF members and partners, join MFS NCR and Bruno Jung-Millen, MSW, RSW for a two-day, in-person interactive workshop based on the Gottman Method of the Seven Principles of Marriage.
What to Expect During This Workshop:
- Explore proven tools to help couples - Improve friendship, fondness, and admiration, enhance romance and intimacy, manage conflict constructively, gain skills to address perpetual and solvable problems, and create shared meaning
- Facilitated Gottman Method workshop portion includes psychoeducation and private couple exercises. Participants will not be required to share any personal details with the broader group
- Unscheduled, on-site connection opportunities - walking trails, snowshoeing, outdoor firepits, smores, and more
- CAF members and their partners
- All adults at any stage of a relationship (from newly dating to a long-term marriages)
- Those wanting to enhance their relationship
- Those seeking better conflict management tools
- Couples experiencing severe relationship distress
- Current affair or betrayal trauma being processed
- Couples considering separation/divorce in the near future
- Presence of intimate partner violence or fear of safety
- Individuals with active addictions (drugs, alcohol, gambling, etc) impacting the relationship
- Untreated or serious mental health concerns in one or both partners requiring individualized care
- Breakfast, lunch, snacks and hot and cold beverages throughout the day
- Official Gottman workshop materials for each couple
- Take home kits to continue strengthening your bond
- Childcare costs eligible for reimbursement
Bruno Jung-Millen is a Registered Psychotherapist and social worker and the Founder and Clinical Director of the Intersections Therapy Collective. He brings a trauma-informed, relational approach to therapy and specializes in attachment, emotional regulation, and interpersonal dynamics.
