Girls-Flip the Script with EAAA ®

SACKingston will be partnering with the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre to bring the Girls-Flip the Script with EAAA ® program to youth!

This program is open to self-identified girls between the ages of 14-18 and will offer the opportunity to learn self-defense, explore boundaries/healthy relationships, and more. Snacks will be provided and youth will receive volunteer hours for attending. They are required to attend all four sessions and can bring a friend (registration is required). It will be held on January 12, 19, 26, and February 2 from 4-7 pm at the KMFRC.

Day 1:
Assess: Identify cues that indicate increased risk of assault in situations, environments, and behaviour of acquaintances
Day 2:
Acknowledge: Strengthen the belief that you are worthy of protection by decreasing emotional barriers to resisting coercive behaviour of others
Day 3:
Act: Overcome emotional barriers to defending yourself and learn verbal and physical self defense tactics
Day 4:
Relationships & Sexuality: Identify characteristics of a healthy relationship; increase skill and comfort in negotiating safer sexual activity that is wanted (if any)

Please Note: The KMFRC is the host site for this activity and SACKingston is the facilitator. Registration will be done through SACKingston - click below to register!
