ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

CFMWS UK offers a unique OUTCAN posting experience, supporting Canadian Armed Forces families living across England, Scotland, and Wales. Rather than serving one centralized military base, our community is made up of Canadian families posted to more than 40 military units throughout the United Kingdom. While geographically spread out, we thrive on connection, bringing families together through programs, services, and shared experiences. 

To help foster those connections, CFMWS UK offers a wide range of opportunities, including virtual workshops and classes, children's and adult craft programs, community events, organized trips and excursions, family rebates, and initiatives designed to connect Canadians across the UK. Our dedicated UK team is also available to help families navigate local services and resources, including healthcare, childcare, schools, and other community support in their area. 

Every posting location offers a unique experience, from the energy of London to the charm of rural villages. Wherever you are posted, there are opportunities to explore, connect, and create lasting memories. Spouses and partners may also seek employment in the UK if they choose. 

To help make your transition as smooth as possible, CFMWS UK encourages families to connect with us before their house-hunting trip. You will receive a comprehensive UK Handbook filled with practical information and have an opportunity to attend a UK familiarization briefing before your move or as part of your arrival process.
