Little Wings Child Care Centre

Our centre is a non-profit organization, which supports military and civilian families living in the North Bay area. We fall under the direction of the Military Family Resource Centre’s Board of Directors and are licensed by the Ministry of Education. We are mandated to follow federal, provincial and municipal legislation. Ongoing and annual evaluations of the Centre are held regularly in order to ensure that we follow standard procedures.

At Little Wings we strive to provide a safe and secure environment while facilitating a range of learning opportunities that support and enhance the growth of the whole child physically, intellectually, creatively, emotionally and socially. Children with special needs are welcome.

Our curriculum is designed to reflect and enhance children’s developmental stages. Daily routines include opportunities for individual work (free play), small and large group activities, creative and dramatic activities, indoor and outdoor gross motor play as well as time to strengthen self-help abilities through tidying up, dressing and toileting routines. Two nutritious snacks, a full course lunch and a rest period complete the day.
