Warrior Kids Program - Virtual Camp

The Warrior Kids program is designed to help families build resilience around unique traumatic experiences encountered as a First Responder or Veteran, as well as other organizational stressors such as shift work, danger, and postings.

Register before October 16 for this six-week program at www.warriorkids.ca

Each participant gets a Warrior Kids Kit mailed to their door with all the supplies they will use to build their resource kit throughout the program.

Are you a parent who wonders how your work stress affects your children? Do you want to ensure that they are coping well with the challenges of your own mental health and understand your traumatic experiences? The program meets each family where they are, focusing on their strengths and developing awareness of youth mental health, all within their peer community.

Warrior Kids is specifically designed to help young people build connections with their peers to better cope with challenges such as having a parent affected by a hidden psychological injury. Children and teenagers aged 8-16 can connect with others who understand the unique experiences of Public Safety Personnel (PSP) families. Throughout the six-week program, participants will learn about the importance of mental health, gain insight into the complexities of operational stress injuries, and acquire practical skills for managing their mental well-being based on evidence-based strategies.
