Strength Train Your Brain

Performance and Recovery Class (PARC) 

PARC is a guided Military Mental Exercise class that helps to train members to increase their mindfulness. It focuses on the 3 R's of Recovery: 

  • RELAX your body 
  • RELEASE your stress 
  • REJUVENATE your energy

PARC is currently offered as an alternative training for individuals and units during Garrison PT. 

PARC is open to serving Military Members and is ideal for athletes, soldiers, weekend warriors, injured members as well as those on Med Chit and referred through Health Services and PSP Reconditioning.

Morning Practice: Tactical Breathing

 with this easy box breath that focuses the mind and body on the breath in order to counterbalance the stress response. 

Multiple Daily Practice: A Mindful Minute

Grounding
 

Throughout your day: Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose. Listen to this mindful minute exercise that teaches you to pay attention to each breath. Weave this practice throughout your day. 

Evening Practice: iRest Yoga Nidra

Sleep/Deep Rest

End your day with a restorative relaxation to unwind and move into deep restful sleep. 

Ei8ht Mindful Minutes

Ei8ht Mindful Minutes (8MM) is a short but powerful relaxation sequence that provides you with micro minutes of mindfulness. Each minute is reflective of a specific technique that you can weave into your daily life and can be especially helpful as a sleep hygiene tool.
