Childcare & Camps Options

RESPITE CHILD CARE

In order to provide support to families by facilitating their short-term childcare needs in the event of an emergency or respite, MFSE has put in place a form to properly inform the local team of the measures to be taken for each family. Families may be eligible to receive a reimbursement of up to 12 euros/hr for identified emergency childcare needs.

SCHOOL CLOSURE PROGRAMS

In families with young children and where both parents work it’s not always easy to take time off for a school closure. Once or twice a year, MSF Brussels organizes a full day of activity during a school closure in order to help families where both parents work. For more information on this, please contact your local MFS team.

SUGGESTIONS FROM WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

Please note that these suggestions have not been “vetted” by MFS and that we are simply providing the information about daycare, camps and nanny.

CHILDCARE & BABYSITTING

For private babysitters during daytime hours, check with your Maison Communale for a list, or contact the MSFE-Brussels, for a list of teenage babysitters: [email protected]

If your children attend The British School of Brussels or The International School of Brussels, they both provide a list, organized by commune, of students eligible to babysit.
