Flying Canoe Volant Festival

Come celebrate your inner voyageur with light, music, legends and dance! Francophones are invited to take a trip to Edmonton's beautiful Mill Creek Ravine and the newly established French Quarter for the Flying Canoë Volant.

Embrace the creative and interactive cultural celebration while meeting other French-speaking families, learning about French services in the area and discovering the franco-Albertan community. Please dress appropriately for the weather as the festivities are outdoors. Transportation to and from the event will be provided.

Flying Canoë Volant is inspired by the legend of The Flying Canoe and French Canadian, First Nations and Métis traditions. The celebration also organizes school programming and The Flying Canoë Volant Races to further spread the joy, spirit and education of the legend.
