Mental Health in a Male Dominated Workforce 2.0

16 Wing presents Guest Speaker Trevor Mayoh

Leadership Development Session: 1000-1130 hrs

This 90-minute interactive session will dive deeper into real-world leadership application. We'll explore what's holding us back - social, hierarchy, workplace, and systemic barriers - and work together to navigate individual roles and leadership responsibilities in challenging these roadblocks. The focus is on creating space for others to challenge and bypass barriers while ensuring we're fostering environments where difficult conversations can happen. Much of the learning is peer-to-peer based, with participants sharing from their own experiences and learning to implement different perspectives into their leadership approach.

Base-Wide Session (Open to all): 1300-1430hrs

This session will focus on collective roles in challenging mental health stigmas and working through barriers people face day-to-day. We'll lean into resilience-building, changing the culture around accessing resources, and how participants can be proactive in creating mentally healthier spaces. A key component involves powerful, meaningful conversations - setting people up to engage others authentically, express vulnerabilities, and create a culture where others feel comfortable and safe doing the same. Participants practice implementing tools in facilitated settings so they feel ready and capable of having these conversations in real-world scenarios outside of workshops.
