Where is the camp being offered
The camp will be held at the Valcartier Community Center for all age groups. We will have access to an outdoor tent at the back of the community center, to the three parks and the two schools and their parks located near the military base. This will allow us to disperse the groups once the day of camp has begun.

Who are the swim tests for and what do they involve?
Please note that 5 and 6 year olds will automatically wear a PFD or go to the wading pool (without a PFD at this time). If you still wish to test your 5-6 year old, you will need to make an appointment.
For pool periods and water outings (for example : beach), we ask that children who do not pass the swim test recommended by the Quebec Camp Association, the Lifesaving Society and the Red Cross to wear a flotation device (PFD).
The swim tests consist of 3 main continuous exercises that are designed to recreate a (disoriented) fall situation in the water so that the child is able to recover to a safe place.
Here is an explanatory video of this type of test which summarizes very well the necessity and the exercises evaluated (french only) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5ne3A55JBo
