8 Wing CFB Trenton's outdoor facilities include soccer pitches, a softball diamond, walking trails, seasonal canoe and kayak rentals, plus an 18-hole golf course, called the Roundel Glen Golf Course. On the water's edge the base provides a great outdoor setting to enjoy the water, and nearby parks.

Soccer Pitch and Ball Diamonds

Our soccer pitch and softball diamonds are available to CAF members, DND personnel and their family members. Facilities may be booked through the Arena Superintendent at 613-392-2811 ext 4110.The diamonds and soccer pitches are located across from the RCAF Flyer's Arena at 65 RCAF Road.

Fitness Trail

Our nine km gravel walking/jogging trail is located on the south side of the base and runs along the picturesque shoreline of the Bay of Quinte. Featured along the trail are workout stations with user-friendly instructions.  The starting point for the trail is directly south-east of the South Side Gymnasium. Maps are available at the South Side Gym reception desk or by calling ext 7138.

Kayak and Canoe Rental 

Seasonal rentals of kayaks and canoes are for day use only. All requests are to be made in writing to Sports Stores. Hours of operation for Sports Stores is from 0730-1500hrs. Please view the rental SOP below, along with the Annex A.
