Coping Cat - Anxiety Coping Group (Ages 8-11)

Children will be given the opportunity to learn coping skills in the group, and parents will be given skills and tools to assist in supporting their children through their anxious feelings.

  • South Side Community Centre

Coping Cat is a 2-week program that assists children and their parents in gaining coping skills to manage their anxious feelings. Children will be given the opportunity to learn coping skills in the group, and parents will be given skills and tools to assist in supporting their children through their anxious feelings. The group will be both interactive and educational. Children will have the opportunity to practice skills in real-time, as well as will be assigned homework in their workbook to do between sessions.  

This program is available to children aged 8-11 (children must not turn 12 during the group). Parents will be required to remain in the room during the group. This program is open to Military families and is provided to them at no cost.
