Outdoor Pool

The PSP Recreation pool located at 425 Breadner Blvd, is a one-level facility open to all. Accessible male and female changerooms, bathrooms and showers are available to everyone who attends any of the scheduled leisure, lane, family swim or swim lessons. The pool is equipped with one diving board and two ladders; one in the deep end and one in the shallow end. For swimmers convenience, life jackets are available on site free of charge for bathers of all ages.

For the safety of our patrons and lifeguards, the PSP pool can accept no more than 110 participants at any given time. This includes patrons sitting on the pool deck, swimming in the pool and in the changerooms.

SWIM WITH US

Summer is right around the corner. PSP Recreation is looking forward to welcoming CAF members and their families back to the outdoor pool! Lane, leisure swims and swimming lessons will be back on schedule for the 2024 season.

The outdoor pool will open on Saturday 15 Jun 2024. The pool will end their season on Monday 2 Sept 2024.

Drop-in Fees

When drop-in fees are purchased they are valid for the entire day that they are purchased for*.
All drop in fees can be paid at the pool on the day you wish to access the facility.
All drop on fees are subject to applicable taxes.

Season Pool Passes

Pool passes offer the most flexibility and value to families or individuals. Access any leisure, lane or family swims* without any additional fees.

If purchasing a family pool pass, a full list of family members will be in place at the pool, so all family members may access the pool without the principal pass holder. Please ensure all family members are listed on your profile upon your purchase of your family pool pass.

PRIVATE RENTALS

Pool rentals are available on Sunday mornings from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM. Host a party or enjoy a quiet swim with your family. Inquire with PSP Recreation for availability by calling 613-998-8216 or by email [email protected]

Admission Standards

All patrons who swim will have to partake in a swimming evaluation, at the discretion of the lifeguard.

Accompanied by a guardian
- Children under 6 years old: Must be accompanied in the water by a guardian 14+ (ratio of 1:2)
- Children 6-10 years old who do not pass the swim evaluation must be accompanied by a guardian in the water 14+. Ratio 1-4.
* NOTE:  Swimmers 10 or over may be subject to a swim test if staff feel as assessment is necessary.
Guardian on the pool deck
- Children 6-10 years old who do pass the swim evaluation must have a guardian 14+ on the pool deck

Unaccompanied
- Children 14+: Can be on their own

Personal Conduct and Pool Rules

PSP Recreation Lifeguards and staff work hard to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all its program participants. Rude, aggressive, or condescending behavior or actions will not be tolerated. Any participants conducting themselves in this manner will be asked to leave and may be prevented from accessing programs and services in the future.

Rules

No person infected with a communicable disease or having open sores on their body shall enter the pool
No person shall bring a glass container into or onto the pool premises (changeroom or pool deck)
No person shall pollute the water in the pool in any manner; spitting, or nose blowing (without tissue) in the pool or on the pool deck is prohibited.
No person shall engage in boisterous play in or around the pool
The emergency telephone is located in the pool office and on the pool deck.

PSP Recreation lifeguards and staff adhere to and will enforce additional rules and regulations to reduce risk and prevent injury.
