Health Care in the National Capital Region

Securing a doctor is challenging due to physician shortages regardless if you reside in Ontario or Quebec. There are resources that families can utilize to assist with securing a doctor. 

• Calian Health: In an effort to help reduce the number of military spouses and children without a family physician, Calian has partnered with interested local physicians to reserve some room for military families. 

• Maple: Military families have access to a Canadian-licensed general practitioner virtually through Maple, while they wait to register with a local family physician.(Note: individual CFOne Card is required)

If you do not have a family physician at your current location and have already secured an address at your destination, consider registering with Calian and Health Care Connect sooner rather than later to secure your position on the waitlists.
