Health Care in the National Capital Region

Securing a doctor is challenging due to physician shortages regardless if you reside in Ontario or Quebec. There are resources that families can utilize to assist with securing a doctor. 

• Calian Health: In an effort to help reduce the number of military spouses and children without a family physician, Calian has partnered with interested local physicians to reserve some room for military families. 

• Maple: Military families have access to a Canadian-licensed general practitioner virtually through Maple, while they wait to register with a local family physician.(Note: individual CFOne Card is required)

If you do not have a family physician at your current location and have already secured an address at your destination, consider registering with Health Care Connect as early as possible.
