“TAKE 10 for 10" Unit Challenge!

You could win a complimentary healthy snack break for your unit.  

Start the New Year right with the workday TAKE 10 for 10 Challenge. It is a call to action to NCR unit leaders (at all levels) and their staff to prioritize taking regular, short “exercise snacks” during the workday. It’s a simple way to positively impact your unit’s health and wellness, improve productivity, focus, and mood, AND you can win a prize! It’s a win-win-win. 

• Get your unit involved in the daily active break challenges found in the calendar, or create your own, from 20-31 Jan 2025. 
• Have a chance to win a complimentary healthy snack break for your unit hosted by the Health Promotion team by taking a picture of your team in “action” or tell us what you did by sending it to [email protected]. 
• A random draw will take place among entries received by 4 February 2025.
• Are you ready to “TAKE the 10 day Unit Challenge”?    

How to get started:

1. Register your unit. You'll receive weekly challenge emails and be added to the Health Promotion distribution list
2. Download the calendar here: TAKE 10 for 10 calendar
3. Start taking your active breaks every day for 10 work days
4. Send pictures or a description of how your unit stayed active throughout the workday to [email protected] to be entered in the draw for a free healthy snack/coffee break for your unit

Take a picture of your unit taking active breaks or tell us what you did throughout the challenge and send it to the Health Promotion team at [email protected] by EOD on 4 February, 2025 to be entered in a draw to win a unit snack break*! 

* PRIZE: A complimentary Healthy Snack Break for your unit with the PSP (Ottawa-Gatineau) Health Promotion team! 

**Eligibility for the prize: Unit must be predominantly active military members in the NCR. Prize draw is random amongst qualifying entries.
