24 November - 30 November

National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW), led nationally by the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction (CCSA) highlights ways to address harms related to alcohol and other drugs. It provides an opportunity for people in Canada to learn more about prevention, talk about treatment and recovery, and share solutions.

This year, National Addictions Awareness Week is from 24 to 30 November with the theme of Forging ConnectionsDuring NAAW, the PSP Health Promotion (HP) team will continue to forge relationships with key health partners to share relevant resources with the Defence community in the NCR and create a supportive environment.

Along these lines of effort, the HP team will host of a variety of events in collaboration with health partners, the NCR Messes, and the Hylands Golf Course to further strengthen existing connections and increase awareness and acceptance of healthier options. By forging and strengthening these connections with key partners and local members of the CAF, we can work together more efficiently to create supportive environments.

During NAAW, we encourage you to read and share the many resources that will be provided.
