Personalized training programs

From April 1st, the Recreation Department offers you its new Personalized Training Plan program!

This initiative aims to meet the health and wellness needs of our community, offering solutions tailored to each individual, whatever their fitness level, age or goals.
Your plan will be designed by a PSP recreation instructor according to your availability.

The personalized training program is available to all: military personnel, veterans, defense employees (public service and non-public funds) and private citizens, at the rates shown below.
For active military personnel: the program is offered free of charge by the Fitness and Sports Department. However, if an active military member wishes to take the program with one of our recreation instructors, a fee will be applied according to the pricing below.

Training program

1. Initial meeting lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes, which consists of establishing a relationship with the client and completing various questionnaires. These questionnaires establish the client's profile, evaluate goals and analyze lifestyle. A fitness assessment may also be required. Using our Inbody270 equipment, we carry out a body composition analysis for customers who so wish. This assessment serves as a starting point and helps to set measurable goals.

Subsequent meetings for customers who have already taken a training program:
For each new program of a customer active in our system, a meeting will be mandatory, which may last less time than with a new customer. However, we have to consider each program individually, and we'll use this time to carry out the body composition analysis again. This is also a good time to build a good trainer/client relationship.

2. Development of a personalized training plan that takes individual goals into account.

The Hexfit application is used by trainers to draw up training plans. This platform offers a multitude of functionalities that optimize our service offering. (File management / program creation / integrated questionnaire / physical test / progress monitoring / easy communication, etc.).
At the initial appointment, the trainer will ensure that the customer is able to download the application before the program demonstration session. A paper version of the program is available on request.

3. One-hour private session with the customer to demonstrate the program. This allows the customer to become familiar with the program's movements, understand its structure and receive personalized advice. Customers will receive their program on the day of their appointment in digital form via the app on their phone and/or in hard copy, if requested. They will need to activate their account with the email they receive once the trainer has completed their program.

Thanks to this new service offering, the Leisure Department aspires to become a key player in improving the community's physical and mental health, by providing quality professional support tailored to everyone.

Booking and schedule :

Once the purchase has been made, the customer must make an appointment with a trainer for his or her evaluation.
