The Military Family Resource Centre – Montreal Region is a registered charity governed by a board of directors.
Why support the MFRC Montreal Region?
The MFRC Montreal Region needs to improve its service offering in order to better meet the increasingly complex needs of families. The challenges related to repeated absences have direct repercussions on families’ quality of life. Given the ever-increasing needs, the biggest problem remains obtaining adequate funding.
The MFRC receives a basic level of funding through certain departments. However, there are financial constraints because the MFRC must add programs adapted to local needs according to the operational role and the geographic and demographic composition of the community as well as the availability and accessibility of the services offered.
What do your donations go to?
Your support means a lot to us. Every dollar raised will help us implement three projects:
- Improving our service offering for transitioning to the military lifestyle.
- Implementing special-education services providing families with consultations and development support in Childhood Services and Youth Services.
- Upgrading the children’s playgrounds located at Saint-Hubert and Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Funding an MFRC project means supporting the families who effectively make up the military’s support force. It also means recognizing their contribution to maintaining the CAF’s operational capability and, above all, it means providing direct assistance to these families so that they can overcome the unique challenges of the military lifestyle.
