The MFRC Montreal Region is a dynamic, bilingual team who is here to listen to your needs! Our mandate is to offer you a wide variety of activities, services and workshops that adults, teens and children will enjoy. We are eager to help you integrate into the Montreal region and steer you towards the resources you need for your well-being!

The Military Family Resource Center works in partnership with the military authorities, but is independent of the Canadian Armed Forces command structure.

The goal of MFRC is the well-being of members of military families in their personal, family and community development by a competent and dynamic team.
Community development is our mainspring. As such, the Centre is engaged to establishing and maintaining a partnership with the community in order to improve the wellness of all through the efforts of its members and through their involvement and participation in the decision-making process in matters and issues of concern to them. The goal of the Military Family Resource Centre is to act as an agent for change, as a thread running through the whole community to foster individual initiative and personal growth.

Our team adheres to an ethics based on the respect, honesty, integrity, rigour, altruism, personal commitment and in solidarity with the community. We believe that...

  • Every family is in need of support and resources;
  • Such support and resources increase the family’s power to grow and evolve;
  • Such support and resources must be provided based on the needs defined by the families involved, with due regard and respect for each individual’s unique circumstances and character.

Respect is the root value, as this expressed in various ways, including open-mindedness, consideration, trust and regard for others.
