Our animation team looks forward to welcoming you to the Saint-Jean Garrison to offer a diverse, enriching and bilingual program of activities in both French and English.
SUMMER 2026 theme: Traditions and festivities around the world.
June 25 to August 21, 2026
Once again this year, the Plein Soleil day camp offers activities for children aged 5 to 12 (or 4 completed) in a stimulating and safe environment. We offer a varied program of bilingual activities, where children, divided by age group, discover new interests, skills and friendships all summer long. summer. Every day, they'll have the opportunity to take part in stimulating activities and various workshops led by our sports, arts and outdoor specialists.
Children needing accompanying adults are welcome at this camp, where we can place them with a support worker.
A special themed activity and a weekly outing are planned and included in the cost of each camp.
Our facilities offer air-conditioned premises, a gymnasium for the practice of various sports and activities climbing, access to an auditorium and several outdoor areas. There is a daily swimming period, except in special conditions.
OUTINGS AND SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Some weeks we'll be organizing outings outside the garrison, while other weeks we'll be offering we offer special activities on site. Please note that all special activities and outings are included in the camp fee. Camp shirts are mandatory for outings. Each registered child will receive a T-shirt free of charge. Additional shirts are available at a cost of $20 if needed.

SWIMMING POOL
Our outdoor pool is now fully heated!
A swimming period is scheduled every day in the afternoon. For operational reasons and military training, this period may sometimes be moved to the morning or cancelled. Free and supervised play children can take advantage of the shallow end or the deep end, which includes a slide. slide. Our qualified lifeguards ensure your children's safety and are trained to the highest standards. Children wishing to swim without a VFI must complete a swim test on their first swim. This determine if they are able to swim without a VFI. When registering, if you mentioned that your child that your child should wear a VFI, we will provide one. You can also bring a VFI from home as long as it shows the date of manufacture and complies with safety standards.
CAMP DURATION
The Day Camp is offered weekdays from Wednesday, June 25 to Friday, August 21, 2026 inclusively, between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Structured and animated activities take place from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm. We therefore ask parents to bring their children no later than 8:30 a.m. and not to pick them up before 3:45 p.m. (unless there are exceptions and always notifying the day camp team). Children may arrive as early as 7:00 a.m. and leave until 5 p.m. These free play periods, before and after camp, are included in the camp fees.
Please note that we are CLOSED on July 1 for Canada Day.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The camp is offered primarily to military parents and DND employees from public and non-public funds. However, children from the entire community and citizens from surrounding towns are welcome to attend our day camp.
Registration period:
- Priority registration period for military personnel: from Monday, March 9, online only
- Registration period for all: as of Monday, March 16, online only.
*Please note that no on-site registration will be completed and that all information concerning your child/children must be indicated on the registration form. You will need to have information on hand, including the social insurance number of the parent who will receive the Relevé 24, the child's health insurance number, emergency contact numbers, etc.
Children aged 5 to 12* are admitted to our day camp.
*Children aged 4 must have completed kindergarten 4 in order to be registered for day camp.
Please note that age is determined as of September 30, 2026.
Example: My child will be 5 years old on September 30, 2026, but has never attended school (kindergarten 4 or kindergarten); he/she will not be able to participate in day camp activities.
My child will turn 5 after September 30, 2026, but attended 4-year-old kindergarten in the 2025-2026; he/she will be able to participate in day camp activities only if he/she can to go to the bathroom by himself, no longer needs a nap and follows well in a group setting.

WHERE?
We are located on the Saint-Jean Garrison in the Club Iberville premises (Building B-8).
Morning reception and evening departure will take place at this building or on its grassy grounds.
How to get there: As you pass the gatehouse, go around the Mega building (to the right or left) and around to the rear. You'll see the day camp building, which is partly surrounded by cedar hedges. This building faces the outdoor pool and is adjacent to the fenced-in baseball field.
A card will be given to you in the communication before the start of each week.
OUR ANIMATION TEAM
Our counselors are trained to the highest standards in the Quebec day camp industry standards. Our staff follow a comprehensive training program to ensure the safety of your children and provide quality entertainment. All our animators are trained in first aid and CPR and we're proud to be a HIGH-FIVE and ACQ (Association des camps du Québec) certified camp.
A team of support workers assisted by a team of youth counsellors offers the accompaniment program (inclusion support).
Our two supervisors will be on hand at the day camp site all summer long to support the animation and supervision team, as well as answering your needs and questions.

The Recreation Department of PSP Garrison St-Jean supervises, manages and operates the complete management of the day camp.

During our weekly outings outside the day camp site, we increase the number of staff to ensure your children's safety, in line with ACQ (Association des Camps du Québec) standards. You may be asked to join our team on an outing to increase supervision. The role of parent volunteers will be explained at the parent meeting.
