Messes

Sherman and Centurion Messes will resume bar service effective 1 Mar 22 based on the restrictions and guidelines below.  At present, these two locations are the only approved areas where alcohol will be available for purchase.

Health Protection Measures

  1. Capacity - 50% occupancy at both messes (75 pers).
  2. Hand sanitization stations at both locations.
  3. NMMs will continue to be worn in all indoor settings, including messes, but can be removed while eating or drinking.
  4. Candidate Mess by reservation only.  If courses have candidates that are under the legal drinking age who wish to attend the event, a request must be sent (via email) through the CoC to the DCO, at least 15 days in advance of the event. Further direction will be provided to course staff once the request has been approved. 
  5. Cleaning as per PSP cleaning schedule.
  6. Cohorting maintained for courses.


Hours of Operation

Sherman Club bar service@ 50% occupancy (75 Mbrs):

Daily 6 -10 pm w/restrictions:

  • Instructor side, limit 25 Mbrs; (inc all rooms that side). 
  • Student side, limit 50  Mbrs, by course and by reservation thru Mess Mgr;

 Centurion Mess bar service @ 50% occupancy (75 Mbrs):

  • Monday – Wednesday, Closed.
  • Thursday 3 -10 pm TGIT 
  • Friday - Sunday closed.

Note – Drinks can be purchased whenever the bar is open at the Sherman Mess, Instructor side, but then immediately taken to the Centurion Mess and consumed there.
