House Insurance Preparedness
To be prepared for a possible future house insurance claim, you may want to consider doing some or all of the following:
-
Take photos of your belongings, including sock drawers as well as large ticket items;
-
Take a video of each room in your house, don’t forget the garage;
-
Take photos of receipts for higher-cost items (store them in a separate folder);
-
Create an itemized list of the items in each room.
Update your video, pictures or lists every once in a while to ensure your inventory is current and accurate.
