Regional Civilian Personnel Office (RCPO)

Are you an adult dependent looking for employment?

The RCPO Inventory is a talent-pool/database. It is open to all adult dependents/spouses who are accompanying their sponsor on a European posting and want to be locally employed, in Europe, for the duration of their sponsor’s European posting. Further eligibility checks will be done after you register. Our office is located in Germany but we support all of Europe.

It is a common misconception that the RCPO is automatically informed about all dependents/spouses posted into Europe. The RCPO is alerted, by you, once you complete your own registration for the RCPO Inventory. When you register in the RCPO Inventory, you are not applying for a specific job, but to an inventory (talent-pool/database). After you are fully registered in the RCPO Inventory, we will contact you directly when a vacancy becomes available and;

  • You meet the essential experience criteria for the specific position (as outlined on the Statement of Merit Criteria).
  • You are living somewhere considered to be an acceptable commuting distance from the work location.

RCPO Inventory candidates who meet the essential experience criteria and are living in the vicinity of the work location will receive an email containing an application link. If you like the sound of the job and you want to be considered for it, all you need to do is click on the application link and complete your application before the specified deadline date.

What Next?

  • Create an account
  • Input some personal information
  • Upload your resumé and posting message
  • Complete a brief written synopsis of your work experience (in addition to your resumé). This information could be used, later, by a hiring manager to ascertain your suitability for their vacant position.
  • Complete a Candidate Achievement Record (CAR). This is a short, written assessment so that we can find out even more about some of your other skills and abilities. This information could be used, later, by a hiring manager to ascertain your suitability for their vacant position.

After you have completed the above steps, our team might also contact you about initiating your ‘enhanced reliability status’ or providing references. We often do this well in advance of a job being offered. This avoids delays later and ensures you can start your new job promptly. If you already have a valid DND reliability status or security clearance, please make the RCPO team aware via: cfsuercpo-staffingservices@forces.gc.ca.

Please note: Not all of our positions are staffed through the inventory. If you have further questions, please contact RCPO at CFSUERCPO-StaffingServices@forces.gc.ca
