Scattered, Stressed & Surviving: Parenting ADHD in a Military Family

Presented by the ADHD Mama

Are you a parent or caregiver of a school-aged child with ADHD? Does homework, transitions, getting out the door, or a small change in plans feel like a daily struggle with your child?

For many children with ADHD, the challenge isn’t lack of motivation but rather the brain's "get-it-done" system struggles to start tasks, stay organized, manage time, and follow through. For military families, frequent moves, new schools, changing routines, and high-stress seasons can make those challenges even tougher.

In this practical two-hour session, Lora, the ADHD Mama, zeroes in on the struggles families feel most and shares strategies that travel, the kind that keep working no matter where you're posted next. Plus, learn about the whole-family picture, including caregiver burnout, sibling dynamics, and staying connected through constant change. Real, usable, and built to support the way military families actually live.

Bio:

Lora Nyx "The ADHD Mama" is an ADHD educator and coach who helps parents trade their overwhelm for a plan they can actually run. She pairs 20+ years of teaching and facilitation with ADHD coach training (ADDCA), and she's lived the military-family piece firsthand: five postings, two with kids in tow, two postings cross-country. So when she talks about doing this in the middle of upheaval, it's from experience, not theory.
