The Bagotville Air Defence Museum

The Bagotville Air Defence Museum opened its doors in June 1997 in the old converted Protestant chapel. His mission is to promote the military cultural heritage of the Royal Canadien Air Force and Canadian Forces Base Bagotville to the public, it has garnered unter-national recognition and acclaim for its work in the tourism and military museum fields.
 
 Open during the summer, the museum is open to all and is free for soldiers upon presentation of an identity card (contact the museum for details). There are guides on site to provide visitors with information and offer tours, As a bonus, Museum foers can take a bus tour of CFB Bagotville facilities. During the off-season, interested groups may continue to organize guided tours by reservation.

Exhibitions

Since 1997, the Museum of Air Defence various exhibitions related to Canadian military aviation . Management has an important collection of artifacts over the years and is enriched with more than a dozen aircraft that marked the military history of Canada. The collection now includes over 7,000 artifacts and a library of nearly 3,000 books.

The year 2013 marks a revival for the museum. Indeed, two new multimedia exhibitions are presented to visitors. The museum is recognized by his peers as an institution with a quality product and whose fame is beyond the borders of Quebec. This museum remains a privileged witness to future generations for better understanding of the issues of our country and its achievements in the peace process in the world.
